I have over twenty years experience working with adolescents and adults of all ages from a variety of cultural and linguistic backgrounds. I've worked extensively in psychiatric, rehabilitation and health psychology settings and have maintained a busy private practice in Launceston since 2012.
My qualifications include a Bachelor degree in Psychology (UNSW) and a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology (UNSW). I have specialist training in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Interpersonal therapy, Schema Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness-based therapies, clinical hypnosis, neurofeedback and grief counselling.
I'm fully registered with the Australian Health Practitioners Registration Board and am also a member of the Clinical College of the Australian Psychological Society.
My specialty areas include anxiety and mood disorders, chronic pain and illness, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and other trauma-related emotional difficulties, drug and alcohol problems, eating disorders, self esteem issues, anger management and relationship problems, stress management difficulties, grief and loss. I am also able to provide biofeedback and neurofeedback training for Peak Performance and management of emotional difficulties.
